Social Events

Social Events between meetings can range from sporting events, live theatre, travel, visits to places of interest, to any other activity that the Social Committee wishes to organize. These are usually one time events, one per month generally, but you can participate in as many events as you wish!

Please bring your chequebook with you to the monthly meetings to sign up for the events.

Each year, the holiday shopping season in St. Jacobs kicks off with a 4-day village-wide celebration including in-store sales, draws & prizes, festive food sampling, holiday charm, and a chance to shop late on Thursday & Friday nights amid 1000s of twinkling lights. At the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, there is an enormous selection of food products for all cultures and tastes. Choose from the many vendors offerings of delicious cheeses, breads, grass-fed beef, unique gluten-free pastas, lamb from down the road, preserves from each year’s harvest and so much more.

Your tour includes:

  • Return motor coach transportation

  • Dinner at Stone Crock Inn

  • Visit to Farmers Market; Picard’s Peanuts; Village of St. Jacobs

Sunday, November 24th – A Westben Christmas Carol – Cost $89

The Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future will do it all in one performance! (Well, four, to be exact!) Start your Christmas season with Westben’s ever-popular annual narrated Christmas concert. Actor Robert Winslow (Creative Director/Founder, 4th Line Theatre) joins the 80 voices of the Westben Choruses to bring this Dickens classic to life.

Featuring narration along with tradition and new music by Brian Finley, “A Westben Christmas Carol” is an 80-minute musical adaptation perfect for the whole family. Choose to experience it in the nippy freshness of The Barn (with a cup of hot apple cider and homemade treats).

Monday, December 2nd – Canada Eh Theatre in Niagara Falls – Cost $127


It's Christmas Eve and Santa's sleigh has traveled WAY off course! This two-hour musical comedy features original holiday songs and classic carols paired with a delicious festive meal. Our festive holiday menu includes soup, salad, fried haddock, maple glazed ham, oven roasted turkey, potatoes, vegetables, cake, hot tea & coffee. Just like your family's holiday dinner, our meal is served family-style, so be sure to help yourself to seconds!
